We are BG Community CICServing our community, empowering lives
BG Community is a Community Interest Company committed to creating real, lasting impact in the communities we serve. We exist to support individuals to live safer, stronger, and more independent lives through truly person-centred care.
Our dedicated team of highly trained carers empowers individuals to live independently while receiving the support they need. From assisting with personal care and daily routines to managing medication and providing meaningful companionship, we are there every step of the way. All care is delivered in the comfort and familiarity of each person’s own home, where they feel safest, most confident, and truly themselves
We believe that independence and dignity should never be compromised. Our mission is to deliver compassionate, personalised, and professional care that empowers individuals to remain in the comfort of their own homes, living life on their own terms, with the right support in place.
We offer the perfect balance between independence and support. Service Users enjoy their own home within a safe and welcoming environment, with access to professional care whenever it is needed. More than just accommodation, our schemes create a vibrant community where individuals can build friendships, develop new skills, and take part in a wide range of enriching activities—all within a supportive residential setting.
Anabel's Story
Anabel has been with the scheme since 2025 and has shown remarkable progress, building a positive rapport with her care team. Anabel participates in activities such as art classes, pottery, and baking. She also enrolled at college and achieved maths and English qualifications.
Anabel’s experience demonstrates the impact of personalised approaches in mental health support and the potential for recovery and growth, even in the face of significant adversity. Her transformation underscores the importance of understanding and addressing trauma.
With ongoing support Anabel has reconnected with her family and is leading a fulfilling life – a testament to her own resilience and the power of dedicated care.
Care at Home for Jody
Jody, aged 86, was diagnosed with a progressive neurological condition following a series of falls. As her health declined, it was suggested that she move into full-time residential care. With no family support, the idea left Jody feeling distressed; she did not want to leave the home she loved.
Advocating for her wishes, we arranged a meeting with her Social Worker and Neurological Specialist to explore whether her needs could be safely met at home. Together, we created a plan centred around Jody’s independence and wellbeing.
Today, Jody continues to live in the place she calls home. With the right care and support in place, she remains safe while maintaining her independence. She enjoys weekly outings into the community, supported by a trusted taxi driver who provides consistency and reassurance.
Jody’s story shows what is possible when care is shaped around the individual. With compassion, collaboration, and the right support network, she is not just living at home, she is living well.
Companionship to Healthcare Personnel
We accompany our services to appointments and shopping (including going to their healthcare appointments).
